Agri Mela: Teaching Farmers about Latest Agriculture Technologies

A Kissan Mela (farmers fair) was organized by Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) in Pakistan to update farmers about the latest agricultural technologies. Mr. Idrees Bajwa, senior vice-president of ZBTL, said that Pakistani farmers are getting lower yields than other countries because of inadequate knowledge on agricultural technologies. He added that it is the government's responsibility to inform farmers about new technologies including agricultural biotechnology.
