Malaysian GMAC Formed

The newly instituted Genetic Modification Advisory Committee (GMAC) has been formed under the Malaysian Biosafety Act. The function of GMAC is to provide scientific, technical and other relevant advice to the Minister or the National Biosafety Board. Members of GMAC consist of experts from various science-based and other relevant disciplines. The chair of the committee is Dr. Ahmad Parveez Hj. Ghulam Kadir from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board.
