Grants from USADF for Burkina Faso Farmers

Improving the lives of farmers in Burkina Faso is the goal of two grants to be given by the United States African Development Foundation (USADF). The grants will enable improvements to water access, procurement of seeds, equipment, and training.

The Association pour la Promotion du Maraîchage au Burkina Faso (APMB) and Fédération Provinciale des Professionnels Agricoles du Lorum (FEPPAL) both located in the Titao District, Lorum Province, are the main beneficiaries of the grants.  APMB is composed of 48 member unions representing 2,305 farmers, 59% of whom are women. FEPPAL is composed of 19 member unions comprised of 308 farmers.
