Social and Environmental Benefits from the Agricultural Biotechnology in Brazil: 1996-2009, a report from Celeres Ambiental, discusses the benefits from planting insect resistant cotton, insect resistant corn, and herbicide-tolerant (HT) soy. These benefits include decreased use of water in agriculture, lesser use of diesel oil consumption, and reduction in carbon dioxide release.
