Resources Database for Plant Disease and Pest Identification

October 21, 2011

A specialized tool for identifying plant pests: insects, diseases and weeds has been recently introduced in the web by Colorado State University. Called idsource, the user could find websites for screening, detecting and identifying one or more species among the multitude that comprise the plant pest universe. The website features a massive database presented in alphabetical order, the specific class of pest, or by key words.

The website was developed through the joint efforts of the US Dept. of Agriculture's Center for Plant Health Science and Technology Program within the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, as well as researchers at the Colorado State University.
