Agbiotech Vietnam Awards Winners of Biotech Writing Competition

Over 1,000 agriculture students participated in the essay writing contest on biotechnology sponsored by the Agricultural University of Hanoi and Agbiotech Vietnam. The annual competition seeks to determine students' knowledge on biotech crops.
The top award went to Truong Thi Hong Nhung, student of the biotechnology department in the university who received a cash prize and a certificate. The awarding ceremony coincided with the 55-year anniversary of the Agricultural University on October 12, 2011. The contest duration was from June to September 2011. Students were encouraged to access Agbiotech Vietnam's website to read up on biotech information and register to receive regular e-newsletters and answers to online questions.
