MoNRE Solicits Opinion on Procedures for Biosafety Certificates Issuance of GMOs

Vietnam's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) is soliciting public opinion for The Draft Circular on the order and procedures for granting and withdrawing biosafety certificates of genetically modified organisms. According to The draft Circular, only organizations and individuals that have conducted trials of genetically modified organisms in the context/conditions of Vietnam and whose field trial results were certified/recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are eligible to apply for registration of biosafety certificates.
