E.U. Feed Groups Acknowledge GMO 'Technical Solution'

European Union feed groups namely COCERAL, FEDIOL, and FEFAC acknowledged the entry into force of the technical solution for minute traces of GM material in feed. The feed groups claimed that the technical solution will help decrease the chances of disruption in feed supplies by boosting legal certainty for animal feed imports into Europe.
The groups also recommended additional actions towards more comprehensive solutions to prevent imminent food and feed supply and trade concerns. This includes long-term solutions for the continuously increasing challenge for feed and food security in the E.U, such as "more efficient and rapid advancing of GM products through the E.U. authorization system, in order to be synchronized with exporting countries' authorizations."
