African Union Commission and TWAS Sign New MOU

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed by Jean-Pierre Ezin, science commissioner of the African Union and Mohamed H.A. Hassan, Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) executive director in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Under the MOU, the two organizations will mutually advance their shared goals of promoting technological and scientific development in Africa, recognizing the role of researchers in addressing the continent's critical development needs, raising public awareness of science, and encouraging young people to pursue careers in science.
