Agri Companies Collaborate on Calibration System for Low Linolenic Soybeans
September 26, 2008 |
Foss, Monsanto and Pioneer Hi-Bred have joined forces to deliver an enhanced calibration system that provides real-time data and the ability to distinguish low linolenic soybeans from commodity soybeans at delivery. Additional data has been added to the industry standard calibration system introduced in 2007.
Low linolenic soybeans are sourced for the production of trans fat free vegetable oil and other products. Rapid assessment benefits growers who earn a premium for growing low linolenic soybeans, and assists processors by assessing quality at the time of grain delivery.
