Pakistan Minister Tells Scientists To Develop Modern Tech

Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Ahmad Ali Aulakh emphasized the need for concerted efforts of the Agriculture Department to resolve numerous problems faced by farmers. During a ceremony for officers of the Pakistan Society of Agronomy at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute Faisalabad, the minister talked about the efforts of the Punjab government to develop agriculture.

To harness the export potential of Punjab, the minister said the government was introducing its agriculture products to foreign countries. He asked scientists to develop technology which could resolve problems of small growers. Scarcity of irrigation water, water logging, and salinity were the other problems which deserve special attention of agricultural scientists.
