
Cellectis Plant Sciences Plant Transformation Technology for Corn and Rice

Japan Tobacco Inc (JPI) and Cellectis Plant Science have entered into an agreement for the latter to utilize the Agrobacterium transformation technology known as PureIntro® of JPI. The Agrobacterium transformation technology has been a routine protocol in the efficient delivery of DNA into plant cells. Cellectis is a leader in meganuclease-based genome engineering and will use this technology to deliver custom meganucleases to improve corn and rice genomes.
