Cornell-Sathguru to Deliver Premier Seed Industry Program in Hyderabad, India

The Center for Executive Education (CEE) is set to deliver the Seed Industry Program (SIP) in January 2011 with a view to bring together industry leaders, scientists, policy makers and public administrators from several countries for a four day program that will focus on enhancing the participants' ability to develop strategic solutions to augment business through a deeper understanding of research management, technology access through licensing, regulatory compliance, market access factors and business restructuring.

The four day program will provide participants with an intensive exposure to the various aspects related to the seed industry including:

• Detailed case discussions on the development of revolutionary new product
• Global trends and challenges in the seed sector, global convergence efforts in breeding and trait development and technology advancements in the area of high yielding, disease resistant and durable seeds
• Aspects in technology management such as licensing, patent and non-patent protection of intellectual assets and technology access
• Perspectives on gaining strategic industry leadership, effective valuation principles and metrics for the seed industry, regulatory trends and principles for evaluating food and feed crops and global issues impacting transnational market access.
