
ISB Special Issue on Biofortifcation of Plants through GE

The Information Systems for Biotechnology (ISB) News Report published by ISB, Virginia Tech has released a special issue on biofortification of plants through genetic engineering. Articles are on the accumulation of novel omega-3 fatty acids in transgenic plants; biofortification of Vitamin B6 in seeds; iron biofortification of rice by targeted genetic engineering; and feeding future populations with nutritionally complete crops.
