Peking-Yale Center Receives Monsanto Research Fellowships

The Peking-Yale Joint Center is a world class facility that actively fosters collaborative research interests between China and the US including manipulation of the plant genome that will lead to an understanding of the mechanisms and regulations of plant defenses, hormonal regulation, and bioengineering of plant shape and size. The Center has received from Monsanto Company a grant that will provide funds to support visiting graduate or postdoctoral students to perfom research at Yale University, USA or in Peking University, China. In addition, the company also provided funds to equip the laboratories of both universities to be able to conduct research in plant genomics and agrobiotechnology.
