Stacked Biotech Soybean Approved in Uruguay

Genetically modified (GM) soybean event MON89788XMON87701 with trade name Intacta™ Roundup Ready™ 2 Pro was approved for commercial production and direct consumption or processing in Uruguay. The approval of the event was issued by its National Biosafety Commission (GNBio). This is the first stacked GM soybean event approved in the country, enabling farmers to have both insect resistance and herbicide tolerance traits in one seed.
