Implications of GM Seeds on Chinese Farmers' Rights to Food
Researcher Minxing Zhao from Baoding University in China released a paper on the implications of GM seeds on Chinese farmers' rights to food. Zhao reviewed the development of genetically modified (GM) crops in China and recommended that the control of the inputs for agricultural production should be put into the hands of the producers. This will also protect the rights of farmers as owners, breeders, and conservators of seed and plant genetic resources and at the same time maximize the GM seeds' benefits and minimize the negative implications.
The complete paper is published at the Developing Country Studies journal: http://www.iiste.org/Journals/index.php/DCS/article/viewFile/1754/1707.
