3-gene Herbicide Tolerant Soybean

August 26, 2011

Dow AgroSciences LLC, , and M.S. Technologies LLC submitted for approval to the U.S. Department of Agriculture the first-ever, three-gene herbicide tolerant soybean. The stacked genes provide tolerance to Dow AgroSciences' new 2,4-D product, glyphosate, and glufosinate for weed control.

The technology will enable growers to plant immediately after product application, as compared to the delays currently required by 2,4-D labeling. It is expected to set a new standard for weed control and yield performance in soybeans.
