Monsanto and Makhteshim Agan Announce Strategic Crop Protection Collaboration

Makhteshim Agan Group and Monsanto Company have partnered to help farmers manage and reduce risk of developing weed resistance. The Makhteshim Agan Group, a global leader in crop protection based in Tel Aviv, Israel and a supplier of off-patent molecules will enhance the use of Roundup Ready PLUS platform and help farmers manage weed resistance.
Monsanto on the other hand, will license their Roundup Ready PLUS for use with select products from Makhteshim Agan that would offer multiple modes of action to combat weeds that have developed resistance to glyphosate. Hence, the agreement will provide the use of multiple molecules to reduce the risk of developing weed resistance.
