GAIN Report on Biotech in Venezuela

The U.S. Department of Agriculture - Foreign Agricultural Service Global Agricultural Information Network has released the report Venezuela - Biotechnology: GE Plants and Animals. Despite significant interest in biotechnology and on-going research on tissue culture and molecular genetics, no legal framework is still in place for testing or commercialization.
