Answers to Questions About Soybean Sudden Death Syndrome in Iowa 2010

Researchers Alison Robertson and Leonor Leandro of the Department of Plant Pathology, Iowa State University have put together a short sketch of the soybean sudden death syndrome in the form of answers to commonly-asked questions, to guide soybean farmers and researchers in controlling the disease. The short sketch explains the cause, incidence, possible outbreaks in the U.S., among others.
Sudden death syndrome (SDS) is now included in the top four important diseases of soybean with estimated average losses of $19 million a year from 1999 to 2004.
