September 9, 2010 |
The Department of Biotechnology of the Government of India has prepared revised formats for regulatory approvals from two statutory committees of the biosafety regulatory framework in India- Review Committee on Genetic Manipulation (RCGM) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC). Keeping in view the developments worldwide, revised formats have been drafted for more clarity in information requirements at various steps in the approval process to ensure effective compliance.
Comments and suggestions are invited from all stakeholders in context of the information being sought in each format and requirements for various products, categories and activities.
