Agriculture and Rural Development Day
July 2, 2010 |
The one day event will take place on 4 December 2010 in Cancun, Mexico. It is parallel to COP16 that shows that agriculture is where climate change, food security, and development intersect. It brings agriculture sector adaptation and mitigation strategies to the forefront of global climate treaty negotiations. About 500 policymakers and negotiators, journalists, rural development practitioners, farmers, civil society and the agriculture and climate change scientific community are expected to come.
