FAO: How to Run an Agribusiness
May 22, 2009 |
The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has made available a training manual on how to run an agribusiness. FAO said that the manual will assist the organizers of farmer's cooperatives and associations in developing countries to improve the economic security of their members. The manual cited several case studies, such as a frozen broccoli and cauliflower business in Mexico, a ChiangMai vegetables processing in Thailand and a honey bush tea cooperative of subsistence farmers in South Africa.
