International Banana Conference in Africa

A conference on “Banana and plantain in Africa: Harnessing international partnerships to increase research impact” is scheduled from October 5-9, 2008 at the Leisure Lodge Resort in Mombasa, Kenya. This is the first pan-African meeting to link research to markets in an African context. This conference is being organized by the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in partnership with Bioversity International, Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa, the International Society for Horticultural Science, and the Kenyan Agricultural Research Institute.
