
Advancing Frontiers of Biotechnology: Exploring Gene Editing in Crops and Animals

ISAAA Inc., in collaboration with the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Biotechnology Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA Biotech Program Office), will hold a webinar titled Advancing Frontiers of Biotechnology: Exploring Gene Editing in Crops and Animals aimed at providing information and recent developments on gene editing in crops and animals on August 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (GMT+8), via Zoom. The registration is now open to all interested participants.
The discussions will include:
- Overview of gene editing techniques and applications in crops
- Gene editing applications and regulations in animals
The webinar is part of a series on an array of topics about new and emerging technologies in agri-biotechnology in the global and Philippine context. This is the first webinar in the series and will provide an overview of gene editing applications and opportunities in crops and animals. This webinar will feature Dr. Maribel M. Zaporteza, Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines Los BaƱos, and Dr. Rhoda Mae C. Simora, Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines Visayas.
