Government Initiative for the Advancement of Agri Sector

The Pakistaini government is taking steps to promote agriculture and solve farmers' problems, said the State Minister for Water and Power Choudhary Abid Sher Ali. During the balloting ceremony for the distribution of laser land levelers at Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI), Faisalabad on November 30, 2013, he said that it is important for farmers to be trained on advanced technologies. He added that modern technologies like agricultural biotechnology have brought changes in the world and that only those nations who adopt modern technology would survive. The minister said the government believes that progress and prosperity could be brought into the country by boosting the agriculture sector.
Members of the National Assembly (MNA) Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Additional District Collector Mr. Asif Chaudhry, Executive District Officer (EDO) agriculture Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, EDO finance Mr. Ayub Khan, District Officer (DO) Water Management Mr. Basheer Ahmed Randhawa were also present on the occasion.
