Plant Pathology Research Greenhouse Opened in Turkey

A plant pathology research greenhouse was launched at the Central Field Crop Research Institute in Ankara, Turkey, allowing independent work in the country on yellow, leaf, and stem rust throughout the year. The greenhouse contains three sections (one for each of the rusts studied) and can maintain its temperature throughout winter frosts and hot summers. Its construction was supported by Turkey's Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, the Food and Agriculture Organization, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
