CIMMYT's Germplasm Bank Gets ISO Certification

The Maize and Wheat Germplasm Bank of the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) was awarded an ISO9001:2008 certification after nearly two years of data gathering, intensive analysis, and assessment of processes and best practices. The said germplasm bank is the first among the CGIAR (Consultative Group for International Agricultural Development) institutions and one of only three gene banks globally to achieve the said certification.
