New Traits for Problem Weeds Approved in Canada

Canadian regulatory authorities have given approval for Dow AgroSciences LLC biotech Enlist™ corn trait and the Enlist™ soybean trait for commercialization. The new traits will provide tolerance to 2,4-D herbicide for hard to control and resistant weeds in both crops. In addition, the company plans to launch the Enlist Weed Control System in corn and the United States for the 2013 growing season and Enlist Weed Control System in soybeans in Canada and the United States for the 2015 growing season, once regulatory approvals are secured for all components of the system.
