Bio-XCell: Another Biotech Park in Malaysia

A biotech park called "Bio-XCell" has been established jointly by the Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (BiotechCorp) and property developer UEM Land Holdings Berhad in Nusajaya, Johor. The initial investment to set up this park was RM550 million (USD157 million). The two companies signed a joint-venture agreement in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister Tan sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Fadillah Yusof.

Bio-XCell will serve as a dedicated biotech park which will spearhead research, development and commercialization in various sectors of biotechnology. Several international partners and collaborators have been identified to anchor Bio-XCell.
