
IWT Grant for Jatropha Research

The Innovation by Science and Technology (IWT) in Flanders has recently provided a grant of 715,000 Euro to the Catholic University of Leuven (K.U. Leuven) and the Industrial Crop Technology Company QUINVITA to establish a detailed R&D program on the agronomy and genetics of Jatropha curcas. The three year program will be focused on studies to understand the scientific mechanisms behind several agronomic and genetic findings of the biofuel feedstock Jatropha.
