New Zealand Biotechnology GAIN Report

The New Zealand GAIN Report, a 12-page Report on Biotechnology - GE Plants and Animals has just been published by USDA-FAS online. The Report describes the existing onerous, costly and unproven nature of the GM regulatory framework of the country that includes a lengthy public consultation process. As such, there has been contained trials conducted in the country but no application for a conditional or full-scale release of a GM organism.
