
New EU-JRC Summary Notifications

The European Commission JRC has published five new summary notifications for biotech maize and soybean from Spain. The notifications were on:
- Study of maize lignification for the improvement of digestibility and bioethanol production by Idén Biotechnology S.L.
- Field evaluation of genetically modified soybean event 56c for its selectivity to different herbicides by Bayer CropScience SAS
- Field evaluation of genetically modified soybean event TPGM5003-0001 for its selectivity to different herbicides by Bayer CropScience SAS
- Release of maize plants with event Nk-603 to perform the necesary agronomic and identification trials required for the inclusion of maize varieties in the Spanish Registry of Commercial Varieties (Registro Español de Variedades Comerciales) by Limagrain Ibérica S.A.
- Field trial of maize genetically modified to tolerate glyphosate by Limagrain Iberica on behalf of Vilmorin & Cie
