New Fungicide Seed Treatment in Soybeans Soon

A new fungicide seed treatment solution for soybeans will be released in the United States in 2009, in conjunction with the launch of Monsanto's Roundup Ready 2 Yield™. BASF and Monsanto have signed an exclusive agreement for the release of this product, which contains BASF's top-selling fungicide F500®, the same active ingredient found in Headline® fungicide with its disease control and plant health benefits.
Under the agreement, Monsanto will have exclusive rights to commercialize the new fungicide seed treatment in soybeans. Additional details of the agreement were not disclosed.
