
First All Africa Congress on Biotechnology

The first ever All Africa Congress on Biotechnology is scheduled to be held at Nairobi, Kenya in September 22-26, 2008. The theme of the Congress will be “Harnessing the Potential of Agricultural Biotechnology for Food Security and Socio-Economic Development in Africa.” It will be facilitated by The African Biotechnology Stakeholders Forum (ABSF) through its sister network, the Agricultural Biotechnology Network in Africa (ABNETA) and the African Union’s (AU) Division of Agriculture and Food Security.
