There's Need to Set Time Frame for Hunger, Poverty Eradication; FAO Director General Claims

Jose Graziano da Silva, Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), urged the international community to adopt a specific time frame for the eradication of hunger and extreme poverty.
In a special joint meeting of the UN Economic and Social Council and the Economic and Financial Committee of the General Assembly in New York, da Silva stressed that the deadline for the Millennium Development Goals (MDG), which includes hunger and poverty eradication, is approaching. He further encouraged the international community to set a more specific objective in time to reflect its urgency.
