CGIAR Info Materials to be Opened to the Public
September 19, 2012 |
The Consortium of International Agricultural Research Centers (CGIAR) is on their big move as the organization drafted the framework to improve and accelerate the delivery and access of its data and knowledge products, and to better serve the CGIAR Consortium and its partners. Headway was made when the CGIAR Consortium approved the CGIAR Principles on the Management of Intellectual Assets.
A clear framework was required to help knowledge travel freely and safely to its best application, and to provide guidelines to the member centers of the consortium when building their partnerships, to ensure that intellectual assets reach those who need them most.
Enrica Porcari, CGIAR Consortium's Acting Director for Communications, said that both a clear vision and a set of common principles, specifically for data and knowledge management, are required for their research products to travel and increase the likelihood of their (CGIAR) impact.
