Towards an Evergreen Revolution- The Road Map

A new publication by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) discusses the road map for achieving the targeted growth in India's agricultural sector. Specifically, it details the paths towards comprehensive food security, bridging yield gaps, accelerating productivity and income growths, conserving and judiciously utilizing the natural resources, increasing agricultural adaptation to climate change, harnessing biotechnology, promoting the interest and role of smallholder farmers and strengthening human resources. The document will be useful in developing appropriate policies, strategies, institutions and partnerships consistent with socio-economic and agro-climatic realities.
