Argentina Approves GM Corn Event DP-098 140 for Cultivation

Genetically modified corn event DP-098 that contains genes for GAT4621 (glyphosate acetyltransferase) and ZM-HRA (a modified maize acetolactate synthase) has been approved for commercialization in Argentina. The corn is rendered resistant to glyphosate and acetolactate synthase herbicides such as sulfonylureas and imidazolinones.
