FAO Report: The State of Land and Water Resources

The Food and Agriculture Organization recently launched an authoritative study on the global status of land and water resources entitled The State of Land and Water Resources (SOLAW). The issue on water scarcity in the face of increasing population and climate change has become a priority in agriculture and food production.
The Report provides insights into the availability of land suitable for agriculture, the current state of land degradation, and the institutions in place for managing land and water scarcity. It also gives an overview of the policies and institutions necessary to support sustainable and water management.
