The "International Conference on Plant Biotechnology for Food Security: New Frontiers" is being organized by the Society for Plant Biochemistry and Biotechnology (SPBB) from 21-24 February 2012 at New Delhi, India. The conference aims to deliberate on relevant issues including challenges of malnutrition and enhanced productivity by less resource input demanding crops. The topics will also be on harnessing the powerful tools of biochemistry and biotechnology in agriculture, biotechnological approaches for biotic and abiotic stress management, biotechnology education, and biosafety and public awareness.
