USDA-APHIS Notification for Nonregulated Status for GM Roses with Altered Color

Two hybrid rose lines IFD-524;1-4 and IFD-529:1-9 developed by Florigene Pty., Ltd have been granted by the USDA APHIS a nonregulated status. The hybrid rose lines have been genetically modified to produce novel flower color. The nonregulated status was granted based on the analysis of scientific data, comments received from the public as well as its associated environmental assessment and plant pest risk assessment.
