APHIS Notification for the Nonregulated Status of Insect Resistant GM Cotton

The USDA-APHIS announces the nonregulated status of genetically-modified cotton COT67B which has been genetically modified to resist lepidopteran insect pests. The GM cotton is a product of Syngenta Biotechnology Inc. The approval for nonregulated status is based on the evaluation of scientific data, comments received from the public as well as its associated environmental assessment and plant pest risk assessment.
