International Symposium on Induced Mutations in Plants

The International Symposium on Induced Mutations in Plants (ISIM) will be held on 12-15 August 2008 in Vienna, Austria. The event is part of the Joint FAO/IAEA Programme’s Symposium series and is dedicated to harnessing and disseminating information on current trends in induced mutagenesis in plants. Some of the topics to be discussed include molecular genetics and biology of mutagenesis, new mutation techniques, induced mutations in crop breeding programmes and socio-economic impact of widespread mutant varieties.
