First Harvest of Biotech Corn Field Trials Completed in China

The first harvest of biotech corn field testing has been completed in China, according to the DuPont Pioneer official, Firoz Amijee. The biotech corn varieties under testing have insect resistance and herbicide tolerance traits. At present, DuPont is in the early stages of applying for the commercialization of the biotech crop in the country. They expect that the process may take six years or longer, Amijee said.
