Ukraine Legally Establishes Criteria for Risk Assessment for Environmental Release of GMOs

The Ukraine Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has recently issued Directive N36 dated February 7, 2011 which approved the criteria for risk assessment of the potential impact of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) on the environment. The directive has been registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in March 1, 2011.
