
Premanandh: Modern Technology, Political Will, and Sufficient Investments are Important for Food Sustainability

Jagadeesan Premanandh of the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority published a review about the combined effects of different factors affecting food security. These factors include population growth, availability of arable lands, water resources, climate change and food availability, accessibility and loss. Premanandh emphasized the need to adapt science-based technological innovations to address the issues on food security. Aside from the modern technologies, he also said that political will and sufficient investments are necessary to alleviate food shortage in the developing countries.
