
GM Notifications in the EU

European Commission's Joint Research Centre has posted notifications on the deliberate release into the environment of genetically modified (GM) crops for non-commercial use in Europe. The latest notifications include:
- Transgenic grapevine expressing the gene of the capsid protein of Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) developed by the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique
- Maize varieties DAS-Ø15Ø7-1xMON-ØØ6Ø3-6, DAS-Ø15Ø7-1xDAS-59122-7, DAS-59122-7, and DAS-Ø15Ø7-1xMON-ØØ6Ø3-6 developed by Pioneer Hi-Bred Agro Servicios Spain S.L.
- Agronomic evaluation of genetically modified cotton variety, herbicide tolerant, for variety registration developed by Bayer BioScience N.V.
- Field trials with herbicide tolerant and insect resistance cotton transformation event (T303-40 x GHB119) x GHB614 for agronomic and efficacy evaluation against Lepidoptera pest.
