
Plate of the Future: Nutritious and Sustainable Novel Foods

ISAAA Inc., in collaboration with the Philippine Agriculture and Fisheries Biotechnology Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA Biotech Program Office), will hold a webinar titled Plate of the Future: Nutritious and Sustainable Novel Foods aimed at providing information and recent developments on the new and emerging applications of biotechnology to novel foods. The webinar is scheduled for January 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (GMT+8), via Zoom. The registration is now open to all interested participants.
The discussions will include:
- Exploring Novel Foods: Opportunities and Challenges for Sustainable Agriculture
- Piggy Sooy: Plant-based Food for the Meat-eaters
The webinar is part of the series on an array of topics about new and emerging technologies in agri-biotechnology in the global and Philippine context. This is the third webinar in the series and will provide an overview of novel foods in the market, their economic and nutritional benefits, and public acceptance. The webinar will feature Dir. Fides Marciana Z. Tambalo, Director of the Philippines Los BaƱos - National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (UPLB-BIOTECH), and Dr. Amit Dhingra, Chief Science Officer at Moolec.
